Savoy Martini Bitters

THE AMERICAN BAR AT THE SAVOY LAUNCHES BESPOKE, LIMITED EDITION ‘SAVOY MARTINI BITTERS’

The next installment of The Savoy Collection is a limited edition ‘Savoy Martini Bitters’ created in collaboration with The Bitter Truth Range of Bitters and Liqueurs.

250 bottles of ‘Savoy Martini Bitters’ have been produced for sale and to be used in the Martini Cocktail, one of the American Bar’s most popular drinks. The Bitters will also be incorporated into a number of other cocktails featured on a special Anniversary Menu in the American Bar, which launches this week in celebration of The Savoy’s 125th Anniversary on 6 August 2014.

‘Savoy Martini Bitters’ comes in a 200ml bottle and has been created as a bold partner to the Dry Martini Cocktail, using either gin or vodka. As with all The Bitter Truth products, the Bitters have been made with natural ingredients only. Bitter and sweet oranges, lemon, sage, rhubarb and lemon verbena, all backed by gentian and a light touch of angostura bark, all feature in the product.

The Bitters are released as part of The Savoy Collection, one of the most prestigious and unique collections of one-of-a-kind spirits and liquids, launched by The Savoy in 2013. The Collection so far includes a 21-year-old Macallan, The Manhattan Cocktail, a 17-year-old Laphroaig, Demerara Rum from Guyana 1975, and the soon to be released 125th Anniversary Decanter filled with one of the rarest Speyside whiskies available today.

The Savoy Collection: Savoy Martini Bitters is available to purchase in Savoy Tea, priced from £35.

Good Spirits News
Blair Frodelius from Good Spirits News recently reviewed some of The Bitter Truth`s newer product releases, some of them not yet available in the USA.

The guys at The Bitter Truth are two of the busiest people in the spirits industry.  In just seven years, they have increased their product line to include not only several classic bitters styles, but also spirits, liqueurs and flower waters.  Every bottle feels just right, looks sharp and holds some amazing flavors.”

Thats quite a stunning intro as we think and we are very pleased and flattered at the same time. Following our motto “Quality counts” we continue to produce The Bitter Truth products by using only the best quality natural ingredients available and this is fully reflected once you taste one of our products. The traditional production process without any shortcuts garantees an unparalelled experience. Thanks for the appreciation, Blair!

In an attempt to bring product names in line for global distribution we renamed The Bitter Truth Elixier as this product was already distributed in the USA under The Bitter Truth E**X**R name for several years. No worries, we kept the same recipe – no changes in the formula made! It`s just a name change!

Have a look how Robert Hess makes a tasty E**X**R & Ginger

Introducing Cucumber Bitters this Summer

Cucumber Bitters Introduction

Cucumber Bitters will join our range as a stunning new flavor this summer.

Following the great success of The Bitter Truth Celery Bitters, we were working on expanding our portfolio to savory flavors in cocktails & drinks for a few years now. Cucumber has a very delicate flavor, but the downside is that cucumber consists mainly of water and very little flavor. Further to that the fragile notes one can find in freshly cut cucumber will change quickly and the delicate top notes are hard to capture.

Saying so, we decided to mash the freshest cucumber available and then distill the mash to form a stable base which is then blended with a delicate selection of herbs and spices to create memories of the english countryside, summertime and light spirits. Already thirsty? The Bitter Truth Cucumber Bitters are first available in the USA – for all other markets from july/august 2015 on.

Garden Cocktail

Ingredients:
30 ml (1 oz) The Bitter Truth Pink Gin
30 ml (1 oz) The Bitter Truth Elderflower Liqueur
2 dashes The Bitter Truth Cucumber Bitters

Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain off into a chilled cocktail glass and enjoy.
